Our Mission
Our goal was to donate 48 care packages to Children's of Alabama in Birmingham on Luke's birthday. We wanted each of the 48 beds in the NICU to receive a basket of goods aimed at both lifting their spirits during a troubled time and providing them with necessities that they may not have had time or known to prepare.
Our goal has since changed. We are now an officially recognized tax exempt organization with the ongoing mission of reaching out to families with infants that will have long term hospital stays. We want to show these families a glimpse of Jesus during, prayerfully, the most trying time they will ever experience. We help families as we are made aware, and we hope to never have to tell anyone that we can't help.
Each basket will contain:
-A nursing cover (Because NICU mommies are encouraged to pump, but have very little privacy doing so.)
-A copy of Oh, The Places You'll Go by Dr. Seuss (Because those babies are going places!)
-A keepsake Psalm 91:4 canvas (To remind them of God's faithfulness during and after this trying time.)
-A $50 Visa gift card for food or gas.
-Notebook and Pens (For those things they have to remember during a time when you can't trust your brain.)
-Gum
-Chapstick
-Hand Sanitizer
-Lotion
-Toiletries Travel Pack
-Wet Wipes
etc.
